ABG Systems operates in textile traceability through RFID technology, designing and building distribution and tracking systems for industries, healthcare, wellness facilities, and gyms. This market is continuously growing due to the increasing demand for access to data, simplifying the logistical process and allowing significant savings in stock management. Consequently, ABG Systems is expanding its presence worldwide, necessitating the recruitment of personnel equipped with skills that meet the elevated technical and qualitative standards essential for our textile distribution systems for scrubs, uniforms, gym towels, and bathrobes.

This is why the recruitment process has been completely overhauled to meet better the selection needs of a growing company like ABG. It is now a structured and shared process between the HR office and the various business units, aimed at identifying the best resources to enrich the skills and capabilities of the company.

In recent months, a tangible example of this approach is represented by the needs expressed by the technical department. There was a need to introduce a new professional figure capable of providing cross-functional expertise that could benefit both the technical and production departments.

Today, we are pleased to introduce Simone Burgio, Technical Electric Design Specialist at ABG Systems.

Simone, what is your professional background? When did you first start your journey in the world of electronics?

Right after graduating, I started working in the automotive repair industry.

However, I quickly realized it wasn’t what I wanted to do. Even in high school, I had always had a strong passion for electronics. So, I decided to leap and change my career to enter this field.

I started working for a large company specializing in producing die-cutting machines.

Initially, I worked as an electrician, but over the years, my experience led me to become a field service technician, working directly on the machines installed at customer sites. This expanded my knowledge in the field of maintenance as well.

What brought you to ABG?

I am naturally curious, always seeking to learn and grow, especially in my career.

The job description I responded to seemed like a perfect fit for me – a mix of my current skills and those I want to acquire shortly. So, I decided to interview, and here I am, ready for this adventure.

What are your responsibilities at ABG, and what are your expectations for the future?

My role is purely technical. I will be responsible for researching and developing new electrical technologies and components for our textile automatic dispensing machines and designing electrical schematics. I am currently undergoing training in the production department to deepen my understanding of the topics related to automat distribution systems. This way, I will have the opportunity to fully comprehend the products on which I will be working as a Technical Electric Design Specialist.

The first month in a new company is certainly impactful. What impressions have you had of this new beginning?

ABG is a company in great turmoil. I constantly hear about new projects from my colleagues, and I can see that the pace of work is intense. This motivates me because I can be part of a well-established and experienced team where I can contribute and be an active part of a significant growth process.
